Man arrested over rape at Glasgow protest camp is released

A 32-year-old man arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a woman during an anti-capitalist protest in Glasgow has been freed.

A 28-year-old woman is alleged to have been raped in a tent in the city's George Square on 25 October.

He had been due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday following his arrest the previous day.

A Crown Office spokesman said the matter was still under consideration by the fiscal.
