Couple hunted after stabbing outside Caledonia Primary
Detectives say they are treating an attack on a man outside a primary school in Glasgow as attempted murder.
The victim was stabbed during a disturbance involving two couples outside Caledonia Primary in Baillieston at about 14:50 on Friday.
A woman who was with him was also pulled from the car they were travelling in and assaulted.
Police want to hear from parents who were collecting children from school who may have witnessed the attack.
Officers said the incident happened after two couples arrived at the scene separately in two cars, a dark coloured one and a silver Ford Mondeo.
The driver of the Mondeo was attacked and stabbed by the man from the other car, while his female passenger was pulled from her car by a woman from the second car and assaulted.
Police said both appeared to have been the intended victims.
The attackers then fled in their vehicle heading towards Caledonia Road.
The female suspect was described as mid to late 20s, 5ft 2ins tall, of heavy build and short dark hair. She was wearing a dark coloured top and trousers.
The male suspect was in this 30s, about 6ft tall, of medium build and unshaven. He was wearing grey tracksuit trousers with a stripe down the sides and a dark, grey hooded tracksuit top.
The injured man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medical staff described his condition as serious but stable.
Det Sgt Kenny McCartney said: "I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us. This shocking attack took place outside a primary school around the time parents would have been arriving to collect their children.
"I would appeal to parents, local residents or anyone with any information to contact us to help us trace those responsible."
