Police officers injured in Langbank crash

The crash led to the closure of the main Glasgow to Greenock road

Two police officers were taken to hospital after their car was in collision with a lorry near Langbank in Renfrewshire.

It's not thought their injuries are life-threatening. The lorry driver was treated for shock at the scene.

The crash happened on the westbound A8 Glasgow to Greenock road at about 14:30 on Thursday.

The road was closed for several hours to remove the wreckage and for accident investigation work.
