Alexander Cullen flushed cocaine down toilet during raid

A man is facing a jail term after being caught flushing thousands of pounds worth of cocaine down the toilet.

Alexander Cullen, 28, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, amphetamine and heroin following the raid at his home in Gartcosh last May.

The High Court in Glasgow heard that police recovered £170,000 of cocaine, £12,000 of amphetamine, heroin worth £7,000 and more than £3,000 in cash.

Sentence on Cullen was deferred and he was remanded in custody.

The court heard police, acting on a search warrant following a tip-off, broke down the door of Cullen's detached three-bedroom house in North Lanarkshire on 12 May last year.

They found him in the toilet covered in white powder and frantically trying dispose of cocaine by emptying it down the toilet.

Other items seized included a large drum of mixing agent and a recipe for adulterating cocaine to reduce the purity and increase the profit.
