Strathclyde Police have issued an appeal for information about a missing Lanarkshire sex offender who has not been seen for three days.

Gary Travers, 36, from Wishaw, took a taxi to Coatbridge in the early hours of Saturday 31 March.

He has previous convictions for serious sexual offences involving adult women.

Officers have advised that, if he is seen, he should not be approached. They said there is a "considerable risk" of him re-offending.

Travers is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, bald and with blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing white trainers, blue jeans, white top and a dark coloured three-quarter length jacket.
