Yacht skipper finds man's body in sea off Oban

A man's body has been recovered from the sea off Oban in Argyll.

Clyde Coastguard received a call about a person floating in the water at about 08:55.

The body was discovered by the skipper of a yacht at Cardingmill Anchorage. The Oban lifeboat was launched to bring the body back to shore.

Strathclyde Police said the identity of the man has yet to be confirmed. It is understood that there are no suspicious circumstances.

A spokesman for Clyde Coastguard said the man is not believed to have fallen from a boat.
