Man stabbed in 'targeted attack' in Govan

A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the arm and suffered a punctured lung in a suspected targeted attack in a Glasgow street.

Strathclyde Police said the victim was assaulted after being chased by two men into Hutton Drive, Govan, at 22:30 on Friday.

He was able to make his way to the Southern General Hospital where his condition was described as stable.

The two suspects are white and both were wearing dark coloured hooded tops.

Det Con Alexander Ward said: "I believe this has been a targeted attack, however we have still to establish a motive for the crime.

"This man was chased by two suspects and I would appeal to anyone who lives in the area and who may have seen something to please get in touch with us.

"Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help us trace the two suspects responsible."
