Man, 67, killed in lorry crash at Clarkston Toll

A 67-year-old man has been killed after being struck by a lorry at Clarkston Toll in East Renfrewshire.

The man was hit by an HGV as he crossed Clarkston Road, on the A727, at about 10:40 on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene. His relatives have been informed. The 47-year-old lorry driver was uninjured.

The road was closed following the crash but has since reopened. Police have appealed for witnesses.
