Three held after cocaine haul found in cars on M74

Three men have been arrested after four kilograms of cocaine worth about £160,000 was recovered from two cars on the M74 in South Lanarkshire.

The cars were stopped on Sunday by officers from the Scottish Crime and Drugs Enforcement Agency with support from Tayside and Merseyside Police.

Two of the men arrested, aged 43 and 42, are expected to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

A 48-year-old man will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court.
