Two arrested at loch disturbance

Two men have been arrested after a "large-scale disturbance" on the banks of Loch Lomond in which two others were seriously injured.

Police were called to Balloch Country Park at 18:00 on Saturday.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with a serious arm injury and a 30-year-old sustained a facial injury. An eight-year-old boy was hurt when he was hit on the head by an object.

The men, aged 19 and 22, were arrested and are in police custody.

A full investigation is ongoing. Police said they would be reviewing CCTV footage of the area.
