Police seize drugs worth £700,000 in Springburn area

Heroin, cocaine and cannabis with a street value of just over £700,000 has been seized from a flat in Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police officers, acting under warrant, raided the flat in Viewpoint Place, in the Springburn area, at about 20:00 on Wednesday.

Two men, aged 26 and 28, and a 33-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the seizure.

All three who were detained are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.

Ch Insp Simon Midgley said: "This is a significant seizure and shows how resolute our determination is to rid our communities of serious and organised crime.

"This remains a high priority for us and we will continue to keep people safe by targeting those who are involved in the supply of illegal drugs."
