Police name Penicuik man who died after being hit by car in Oban

A man who died after being struck by a car on the A85 in Oban has been named by police.

Richard Milarski, 21, from Penicuik in Midlothian, was hit by a Vauxhall Vectra near the town's Pennyfuir Cemetery at about 04:50 on Saturday.

The 54-year-old car driver was uninjured. Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Strathclyde Police said relatives had been informed and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
