New arrest after £1.2m cannabis farm found in Glasgow city centre

A fourth person has been arrested after thousands of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £1.2m were found in central Glasgow.

Police said a 50-year-old man was in custody after the illegal cannabis farm was found at premises in Bridge Street, near the River Clyde, on Tuesday night.

Two men, aged 16 and 17, and a 20-year-old woman, were arrested following the intelligence-led operation.

All four are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
