Woman's body found in River Clyde near BBC Scotland HQ

Police divers have recovered a woman's body from the River Clyde in Glasgow near BBC Scotland's headquarters.

Emergency services were called to the scene, near Pacific Quay, at about 09:25 on Thursday.

Strathclyde Police confirmed that the body of a 38-year-old woman had been removed from the water and would be the subject of a post-mortem examination.

A spokeswoman for the force said the woman's death was being treated as "unexplained".
