Two men arrested after cannabis plants found in Airdrie

Two men have been arrested after cannabis plants with a street value of about £165,000 were seized at a house in North Lanarkshire.

Officers from Strathclyde Police searched the property on Moss Avenue, Airdrie, at about 19:00 on Wednesday.

They arrested two men, aged 43 and 49, after discovering 550 cannabis plants at the house.

The men, who are being held in custody, are expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday.
