A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with four indecent assaults over a period of a month on young women in Glasgow.

Police had earlier appealed for information about three attacks in the west end of the city.

They said the man was also arrested in connection with another indecent assault at St Enoch subway station in the city centre on 21 February.

The suspect is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

The first three assaults were on women aged 19, 20, and 23.

They were attacked after being followed into the common close of flats.

During the first attack, a 23-year-old woman was targeted in flats in Great Western Road on 24 January at about 16:20.

The suspect is also alleged to have assaulted a 19-year-old woman in flats in Arlington Street on 31 January at about 18:25.

In the third incident, a 20-year-old woman was assaulted in flats in Kersland Street on 3 February at about 17:00.
