De Beers pub licence suspended over alleged 'lock-in'

A pub in Paisley has been shut down for two weeks over a series of alleged rule-breaches.

Renfrewshire Council's licensing board suspended the licence of De Beers, in High Street, after police reported an alleged 06:00 "lock-in".

Police said they found the manager asleep on a couch and he and two other staff "significantly intoxicated".

Other incidents saw a police inspection uncover traces of cocaine and people take alcohol outside the pub.
