A cannabis farm worth £250,000 has been discovered by police in Lanarkshire.

Officers searched a cottage in Hamilton Road, Uddingston, at about 13:20 on Thursday and found a cultivation of about 400 cannabis plants.

No-one has been arrested in connection with the find but inquiries are ongoing.

In a separate seizure, officers found £12,500 worth of cannabis and amphetamine at a property in Glendeveron Way in Carfin.
