A technical teacher has been given a reprimand for being drunk in class.

Aleksander Stelmaszuk admitted being "intoxicated through alcohol" while in charge of pupils at Hyndland Secondary School, Glasgow, on the 22 March 2012.

A General Teaching Council panel decided that his fitness to teach was "currently impaired".

It decided, however, that "a reprimand would be sufficient" after hearing that the offence was an "isolated incident" and Mr Stelmaszuk had shown remorse.
