Man, 59, found hurt in Glasgow industrial area dies

Police forensic teams are searching an industrial area in Glasgow after a man who was found injured there later died.

The 59-year-old was found badly hurt in a Nissan Navara, in the Albion Industrial Complex, South Street, at about 16:45 on Sunday.

He was taken to the city's Western Infirmary where he later died.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish how the man died. Forensics officers are carrying out a full search of the area.

Witness appeal

Police are reviewing CCTV images and want to trace a woman who was in the area at the time as "a matter of urgency".

She was described as white, with long, dark, shoulder-length hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a dark hooded top, dark trousers and white trainers.

Det Ch Insp Jim Kerr, of Police Scotland, said: "We have still to establish how this man died and I am appealing to anyone who may have any knowledge about this incident, in particular, a woman who we believe was in the area at the time of the incident.

"It's possible this woman may have information which could prove significant in helping us establish what has happened - please do get in touch with us."
