Man, 55, dies in fall at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow

A man has died after falling from the third floor of Buchanan Galleries shopping centre in Glasgow city centre.

Emergency services were called to the complex, in Buchanan Street, at about 09:40 on Tuesday.

Ambulance crews attended to the 55-year-old man inside the centre but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A section of the centre was closed as emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokeswoman for Buchanan Galleries said: "We can confirm that an incident has taken place within the centre.

"We are working with the emergency services to fully assist in the investigation."
