Donna Shedden Donna Shedden stole more than £600,000 from Charlton Chauffeur Drive

A woman has admitted embezzling £613,073 from a car firm in Glasgow where she worked as financial manager.

Donna Shedden, 49, from Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, took the sum from Charlton Chauffeur Drive Ltd between March 2007 and February 2013.

She later admitted the theft to her boss after a suspicious colleague investigated her while she was on holiday in South Africa.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court, sentence on Shedden was deferred.

The court heard that Sheddon carried on with the theft even when the company struggled financially and four employees were let go and wages were dropped.
