Man, 48, dies after motorbikes collide on A83 in Argyll

One of two motorcyclists who was seriously injured in a crash in Argyll at the weekend has died in hospital.

The 48-year-old man's northbound Honda bike collided with a southbound Yamaha motorbike on the A83 at Strone Point, Inverary, at about 11:40 on Sunday.

He died in Glasgow's Southern General Hospital on Thursday.

The 34-year-old man who was riding the Yamaha was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment. Police have appealed for witnesses.
