Man, 31, arrested over Glasgow west end rape

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged rape in the west end of Glasgow.

A 19-year-old woman was attacked in a grassed area at West Princes Street and Queens Crescent at about 23:15 on Thursday.

A 31-year-old was charged in relation to the incident shortly after police had said they were following a positive line of inquiry.

He was taken into custody pending a court appearance.
