Warning after drugs stolen from Glasgow dental practice
Police have issued a warning after medication was stolen during a break-in at a dental practice in Glasgow.
50 ampules of Lignospan, 12 ampules of Articane and 50 ampules of Scandonest were stolen from the practice within Thornliebank Health Centre.
Staff at the Kennishead Road centre reported the break-in at 08:55.
Police appealed for information and said unsupervised consumption of the medication "could have serious or potentially fatal side effects".
Sgt Allison McIntyre, of Police Scotland, said: "This medication should only be administered by medical personnel for specific purposes.
"If members of the public were to ingest or swallow these drugs, they could have serious or potentially fatal side effects.
"I would urge people who are offered any of the listed drugs to report this matter to the police and under no circumstances take them."
