Two men held over £135,000 cannabis farm in Airdrie

Two men have been arrested after a large quantity of cannabis plants, worth about £135,000, was discovered at a flat in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

Officers from Police Scotland, acting under warrant, searched the flat in the town's Alexander Street at about 19:55 on Tuesday.

Following the discovery, they arrested the two men, who are aged 20 and 31.

They are expected to appear from police custody at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday.
