Broken bottle shop robber Christopher Gallagher jailed

A man who held up a shop in Glasgow with a broken bottle while high on drink and drugs has been jailed for three years and four months.

Christopher Gallagher, 25, admitted a charge of assault and robbery, over the raid at the Spar store in Crookston on 1 October.

The High Court in Glasgow heard how he only managed to escape with a quantity of alcohol after threatening two staff.

Gallagher was caught moments after staggering out of the shop.

Jailing him, judge Lord Bannatyne told Gallagher: "This must have been a frightening experience for the two victims."
