Man sought after committing indecent sex act on Glasgow train

A man who committed a sexually indecent act on a train in Glasgow is being sought by British Transport Police.

The incident happened as the train was between Carntyne and High Street stations at about 15:30 on 9 November.

The man got off the 14:21 Edinburgh to Helensburgh service at High Street.

He is described as being in his late 20s, about 5ft 8in tall, of thin build, with short hair. At the time the man was wearing a dark jacket, dark baseball cap and grey jogging trousers.

The offence was committed in the presence of other passengers.

Det Con David Merchant said: "This type of behaviour is rare. However, people were shocked after witnessing the man's disgusting and unwarranted activity.

"I am appealing for anyone who travelled on this train and spoke to either the victim or the man responsible to come forward."
