Work is set to start on a £1.5m project to prevent flooding which has affected more than 60 properties in the west end of Glasgow.

Scottish Water is to install a combined sewer overflow to reduce the risk of flooding to homes in the Shafton Road area, near Knightswood.

The utility said current network capacity was sometimes overwhelmed during periods of heavy rainfall.

The overflow will be fitted over the next six months in the Summerston area.
