A 19-year-old man has been arrested after 200 "Mortal Kombat" tablets - believed to be ecstasy - were found at a house in North Lanarkshire.

The tablets, thought to be worth about £2,000, were found at the house in Tantallon Drive, Coatbridge, at about 14:40 on Monday.

The man who was arrested is expected to appear later at Airdrie Sheriff Court.

The seizure is not being linked to the death of 17-year-old Regane MacColl in Glasgow at the weekend.

The teenager, from Duntocher, West Dunbartonshire, died in hospital after falling ill at The Arches venue.

Police have said that "Mortal Kombat" tablets may be linked to her death and separate incidents in Glasgow and Ayrshire where four other people became ill.
