A man has appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with drugs offences involving "Mortal Kombat" tablets.

Jordan Thomson, from Larkhall in South Lanarkshire, faces two charges of supplying drugs and one charge of being concerned in the supply.

The 22-year-old made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.

Police have said a number of recent drugs seizures were not currently being linked to the death of a teenage girl who took ecstasy at a nightclub.

Regane MacColl fell ill at The Arches in Glasgow at the weekend after taking a Mortal Kombat tablet.

Police have made three ecstasy seizures and arrested seven people since Sunday morning.
