Drugs worth £1m found in lock-up in Glasgow

Police have seized illegal drugs with a street value of £1m from a lock-up in the east end of Glasgow.

Officers searched a number of lock-ups in Glenburn Avenue, Baillieston, at about 18:00 on Monday.

They found a large quantity of drugs, believed to be amphetamine, cocaine and diazepam in one of them.

Inquiries into the find are continuing. Police said the operation was "intelligence-led" and targeted "those who bring misery to our communities".
