Detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a woman whose body was found in her flat in Glasgow.

Angela Humphrey, 48, lived alone in the flat at Quarrywood Avenue in the Barmulloch area of the city.

Her body was found at 16:40 on Wednesday. The last confirmed sighting of her was at about 13:00 the previous Friday in Balbeggie Street, Sandyhills.

Officers have asked for anyone with information about her movements after Friday to contact them.

Relatives who had become concerned at a lack of contact with Ms Humphrey went to her flat on Wednesday and discovered her body.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out and the death is being treated as murder.

Ms Humphrey was described as white, about 5ft 4in tall, of medium build, with shoulder-length black hair.

When last seen she was wearing black-framed glasses, black trousers, black and white trainers and a cream and black three-quarter-length hooded "Parka"-type coat.
