Father and son among three men jailed over £500,000 drug haul in Glasgow

A father and son have been jailed after they and another man were caught with illegal drugs worth £500,000.

James Hardie, 45, Paul Hardie, 21, and 60-year-old Andrew Scouller were arrested after heroin, cocaine and cannabis were found during raids in Blackhill, Glasgow, in March last year.

Hardie Snr, who admitted drugs supply charges, was jailed for eight years.

His son and Scouller, who were convicted after a trial, were jailed for seven and four years respectively.

All three men, who are from the Blackhill area, were convicted at the High Court in Dumbarton.

Jailing them at the High Court in Glasgow, judge Lady Rae said the evidence showed they were involved in a "fairly sophisticated operation".
