Police probe after man stabbed in Glasgow's east end

An investigation is under way after a man was stabbed in the street in the east end of Glasgow.

Police Scotland said they were called to the incident in Tollcross Road, near the Commonwealth Games swimming venue, at about 13:20 on Thursday.

The man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. His condition is not yet known.

A police spokesman said inquiries into the incident were at a very early stage and were ongoing.
