More than 30 firefighters have spent the night tackling a large blaze at a derelict school in Glasgow.

Crews were called to the building on Broomloan Road, in the city's Govan area, just before 23:00 on Tuesday.

Police closed roads around the former school while firefighters brought the blaze under control.

The structure was badly damaged by the fire and will be the subject of a safety inspection by Glasgow City Council's building control officers.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
