Fire prompts evacuation of Rolls Royce factory at Inchinnan

About 70 members of staff were evacuated from the Rolls Royce factory in Renfrewshire after a fire broke out in the building.

Firefighters were called to the site at Inchinnan, near Glasgow Airport, at about 12:00.

The blaze was contained to a specific area and was subsequently extinguished. Two members of staff suffered minor smoke inhalation.

Police Scotland said there was no risk to nearby residents.
