Man, 44, stabbed by two others in Paisley street attack
Police are attempting to trace two men who stabbed another man in a street in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
The 44-year-old victim was attacked in the town's Knox Street, near the old St Mirren Supporters Club, just after 16:00 on Tuesday.
Police said he was approached by the two men who "for no apparent reason" stabbed him a number of times.
The victim was treated in the Royal Alexandra Hospital for hand and body injuries and released the next day.
There is no description of the suspects available.
Det Sgt Ross MacDonald, of Police Scotland, said: "At this time we are trying to establish exactly what occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
"The victim will be re-interviewed in order to try and clarify a possible motive and descriptions of those involved.
"This incident occurred near Ferguslie Park Gardens and I would appeal to anyone who was in the general area and saw the attack or anything of a suspicious nature to come forward."
