Richard Carrigan named as Ecstasy-link death man from Kirkintilloch

Police have released the name of a 24-year-old man who died after he and two others were suspected of taking Ecstasy at a house in East Dunbartonshire.

Richard Carrigan, from Kirkintilloch, died shortly after being admitted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Saturday.

He was taken there from a house in the town's Waterloo Close along with two other males, aged 23 and 16.

Mr Carrigan's family said "he was a loving son, brother, boyfriend and father" and would be "sadly missed".

A post mortem examination will be carried and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
