Death of man in Paisley treated as 'suspicious'

The death of a man after a disturbance at a property in Paisley is being treated as suspicious, police have said.

The 27-year-old was found seriously injured after officers were called to an address in Kilnside Road at about 04:30.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he later died.

A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.

Det Insp Martin Fergus, of Police Scotland's major investigation team, said: "We are working to establish the circumstances which led up to the 27-year-old man being injured.

"I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Kilnside Road in the early hours of this morning who may have witnessed a disturbance or noticed anyone acting suspiciously."
