Murder probe arrest over death of Graeme Kay in Paisley

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 27-year-old in Paisley.

Graeme Kay was found seriously injured at a flat in the town's Kilnside Road at about 04:30 on Sunday. He later died at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Police originally said the death of Mr Kay, from Paisley, was suspicious but have now confirmed it was murder.

The 27-year-old man who was arrested will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.

Det Insp Martin Fergus, of Police Scotland's major investigation team, said: "Following our previous appeal regarding the suspicious death of Graeme Kay on Kilnside Road, Paisley, his death is now being treated as murder.

"A 27 year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident."
