Police seize £470,000 of cocaine and heroin in Cumbernauld

Police have seized cocaine and heroin with a street value of about £470,000 from a house in North Lanarkshire.

The drugs were recovered from a house in Cairngorm Gardens, Cumbernauld, at about 12:20 on 13 January.

Police Scotland said officers acting under warrant seized the haul during an intelligence-led operation.

No arrests were made and police said inquiries into the "significant find" were ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland.

Det Insp Kevin Jamieson said: "This is a significant find and its seizure will certainly have an impact on those involved in their distribution.

"Officers are currently carrying out inquiries in to the find and I would appeal to anyone with information about the drugs or the premises in which they were found to contact police."
