Glasgow Clyde College principal Susan Walsh is suspended
The principal of a Glasgow college has been suspended on full pay, pending a review.
Susan Walsh leads Glasgow Clyde College, which was formed two years ago out of three separate institutions in Langside, Anniesland and Cardonald.
The college has not said why the decision has been taken.
The board said Eleanor Harris, the current vice principal, had been asked to take over responsibility for the operational running of the college.
A recent report by Education Scotland praised Mrs Walsh's leadership.
However, the college has also been facing a cut in its budget.
In a statement, the college said: "The Board of Management of Glasgow Clyde College met this evening and ratified the decision of the Chair and Vice Chair to suspend the Principal on full pay pending a review."
