No-one has been hurt following a fire at the Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow.

The fire broke out in the kitchen of the Prezzo restaurant on the ground floor of the Pollok complex.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to the blaze at about 12:07 and extinguished the fire.

Three appliances attended the scene and crews gained access to other units within the centre to check for any hidden fire spread.

A spokesman for SFRS said: "We received a call around 12:07 reporting a kitchen fire at a restaurant in Silverburn Shopping Centre.

"Firefighters reached the scene approximately three minutes later and a team in breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a high pressure jet."
