Disruption after goods train derails in Lanarkshire

Trains travelling between Glasgow and Lanarkshire are facing disruption after a goods train derailed between Whifflet and Motherwell.

No one was injured when the train came off the track as it was was making its way to the freight terminal at Mossend.

ScotRail said passenger services operating on routes between Cumbernauld, Motherwell, Whifflet, Dalmuir and Mlngavie were affected.

Tickets can be used on First Glasgow bus services on the affected routes.
