Fire breaks out in high-rise flats in Glasgow
Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a multi-storey block of flats in Glasgow.
The fire broke out at the flats in Charles Street in the Springburn area at about 17:30 on Sunday.
Some residents were evacuated as fire crews brought the blaze under control. No-one was injured in the incident.
A spokesman for the fire service said firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using water jets had conducted a search of the building.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers attended and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were in the process of responding to the fire which had spread over several floors.
"All persons that resided on the floors affected have been evacuated and the local authority are assisting in providing a temporary rest centre for the occupiers."
