Two arrested by police probing East Kilbride abduction

Police investigating an abduction and serious assault in East Kilbride have made two arrests.

A 34-year-old was badly injured during the incident in which he was chased, assaulted and forced into a car.

Police said the victim was attacked in Stewartfield Grove, East Kilbride, before he was driven 27 miles and dumped in Slamannan, near Falkirk.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said two men, aged 26 and 21, have been reported to the procurator fiscal.

The victim was treated in hospital for injuries to his head, hands and feet following the incident.
