Man who grew drugs in grandmother's home to lose £10,500 crime cash

A man who admitted growing cannabis at his late grandmother's house in North Lanarkshire is to have £10,500 seized under proceeds of crime laws.

Mark MacAulay, 38, was jailed for eight months after police raided the house in Shotts in April 2014.

Prosecutors have now been granted a confiscation order for £10,500 against McAulay who has six months to pay.

The order covers his late grandmother's home as he had been living there and paying the mortgage.
