Injured walker rescued on Isle of Arran

An injured hillwalker has been rescued on the Isle of Arran after triggering his emergency beacon.

The 67-year-old man fell while walking in Coire Daingean on Wednesday. His SOS message was passed onto Arran Mountain Rescue Team.

They found the man on very steep ground below the head wall of the coire on the Glen Rosa side.

The injured man was treated for his injuries and then flown to hospital by Coastguard helicopter.
