Death of man found under Glasgow canal bridge 'unexplained'

An investigation is under way after a man's body was found under a canal bridge in Glasgow.

The discovery was made at about 08:45 close to Kelvindale Road in the Maryhill area of the city.

The man has not yet been identified. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained."

A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
